JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Tax Department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and the timely completion of client deliverables. This role involves general clerical, organizational, and project-based tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and organize tax returns for delivery and filing.
  • Provide direct support to the Tax Department Administrator and assist with departmental projects as needed.
  • Support tax professionals by performing general administrative duties, including scanning, preparing letters, forms, and reports.
  • Maintain and replenish tax assembly and scanning supplies for workstations.
  • Coordinate and order general office supplies as needed.
  • Provide backup administrative and phone coverage support for the Miami office and reception area.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assist with ad hoc requests and special projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure all work meets firm quality standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional services or CPA firm environment.
  • Experience processing tax returns required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and a team player with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak tax season.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
