Oak View Group
Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.
Position Summary
The Operations Staff participate in the Mobile Convention Center's physical cleaning, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping; set-up and tear-down of equipment and furniture.
Work Environment
This position is on-site at the Mobile Convention Center. Standard business hours apply, with occasional flexibility required to support events, including mornings, evenings and weekends as needed. Must maintain regular attendance and a professional presence.
This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00-$13.00
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching
This position will remain open until June 30, 2026.
About the Venue
The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center is a spectacular facility providing excellent meeting accommodations. It features 317,000 gross sq. ft., including a 100,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall, and a unique design with terraces for outdoor functions and breathtaking views of the Mobile River.
Responsibilities
  • Performs custodial tasks including: sweeping, mopping, cleaning and scrubbing as well as exterior cleaning of terrace, steps, parking garage, sidewalks and plaza as assigned
  • Prepares facilities for shows including setting chairs, stages, tables and counters as assigned
  • Cleans interior and exterior glass
  • Uses equipment as required upon completion of training
  • Cleans and prepares floors, carpets, restrooms and other areas as necessary
  • Cleans and polishes furniture
  • Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from hall and participates in recycling program as require
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Experience in a service-related field preferred

Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required of this position including operation of cleaning equipment
  • Lift, set and move equipment including all tables, chairs, easels, risers, staging and related items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate two-way radio equipment
