RN - Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Days)

Position Details:

  • Location: BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, 4501 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544
  • Status: Fulltime
  • Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • On Call: Yes
  • Always in person

Summary:

The Procedural RN responsibilities include:

  • RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
  • RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we prefer at least two years of acute care experience with 1 year RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Service. Procedural experience is preferred. Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred.

Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RN (Registered Nurse)
  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
  • Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

  • Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing
  • Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience:

  • Required 2 years RN experience
  • Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.

  • Clinical skills appropriate to position
  • Interpersonal skills
