Job description

Reporting organisationally to the Catering Manager, the Senior Catering Coordinator will be a key member of the FIFA25 and FIFA26 Catering Management team, and will be responsible for assisting in planning, executing, and overseeing catering services, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for Teams, Youth Programme, Media, Broadcasting, Workforce and Volunteers. 
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Catering Coordinator for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 26 include:  
  • Assist the Catering Manager with procurement, supplier agreements, Requests for Menu Proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and related processes in coordination with the procurement team.
  • Assist in authoring, creating and implementing standardized policies and procedures for catering operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and addressing specific requirements across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Support staff training and orientation to maintain consistent service quality and adherence to catering guidelines.
  • Facilitate the exchange of essential documents and information between central and on-site teams.
  • Provide support for rate card services tailored to media and team catering needs.
  • Manage meal voucher distribution and reconciliation.
  • Assist with contractor and Functional Area (FA) liaison to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Meal Forecasting and Planning: Compile and analyze catering plans to inform budget allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accreditation and Security teams to ensure a seamless experience for catering providers.
  • Support the development of an operational plan for on-site staff.
  • Track key data points related to catering operations and maintain organized records.
  • Work closely with the Look & Feel and Signage teams to provide content for wayfinding signage in workforce restaurants.
  • Collaborate on sustainability efforts, promoting eco-friendly practices such as responsible sourcing and waste reduction in catering services.
  • Assist in post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and contributing insights to enhance catering operations during 2025 and 2026 tournaments as well as for future tournaments.

  • Bachelor's degree or similar level of higher education in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Culinary Arts, or Food Service Management
  • Team Player, capable of working autonomously and meeting tight deadlines

  • Positive attitude, patience and persistence
  • International, cross-cultural work experiences preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience of Catering project management processes or a similar role

  • Knowledge of international football (soccer), Hospitality or Catering in USA Stadiums and FIFA World Cups or Large-Scale sports Events
  • Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
