Job description

Position Title: Financial Processor Department: Accounting & Finance
Reports To: Director of Finance Job Class: Non-Exempt
Job Status: Full Time
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Financial Processor is responsible for the accurate and timely processing and verification of donor revenue. The processor retrieves, counts, balances, makes electronic and manual deposits, and reports on all transactions. The processor fulfills ATM service and change requests and reconciles the internal vault.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reconcile cash and check donations using internal processes and procedures
  • Prepare manual bank deposits as needed
  • Resolve processing discrepancies
  • Generate financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing donation revenue
  • Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities using computerized software programs (Excel, Word, Check 21, SalesForce and Remote Deposit Capture)
  • Research and resolve processing discrepancies
  • Maintain and update procedural manual and checklists as needed
  • Assist in analysis projects as requested
  • Organize and maintain retention files for the required period(s)
  • All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
  • Two or more years of cash handling experience
  • Administrative support experience
  • Intermediate or above with Microsoft Office Software
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work interdependently, self-starter, and energetic
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrate good and sound judgment
