Job description

As a District Manager, you will oversee assigned offices and manage daytoday operations to ensure all operational goals, policies, and performance standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Interviewing, hiring and training new associates
  • Develop managerial reserve and potential supervisor candidates
  • Maintain turnover at acceptable levels (less than 30% for general associates and less than 20% for managers).
  • Enforce adherence to policy and underwriting procedures.
  • Ensure districtwide compliance with company safety, security, and emergency procedures by monitoring branch adherence, reinforcing safe work practices and cashhandling controls, addressing identified risks or unsafe conditions, and ensuring incidents are reported and escalated in accordance with Company policies.
  • Maintain internal audits to 80% satisfactory or better.
  • Complete written office documentation monthly on each branch during regular visits to branches.
  • Complete periodic written visitations.
  • Keep expenses within acceptable ranges, not to exceed 3% growth per year in established branches.
  • Continually develop knowledge of the company's policies and procedures through constant study and review of the company's Operations Manual, Associate Handbook, etc.
  • Promote all products including Tax Preparation.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required by the Vice President of Operations

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to travel by car within an assigned district from location to location on a daily basis.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 10% of the time, including overnight stays and air travel, with destinations, timing, and frequency determined by business needs.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 2 or more years' experience managing a branch.
  • Must be licensed or have the ability to obtain licensing to sell insurance products.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Officebased role with standard lighting and noise levels
  • Work is performed in a combination of office settings, branch locations, and travel environments, including time spent driving, working in branch locations, and base office when appropriate.
  • Combination of stationary work and regular movement throughout the office, including occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and similar activities
  • Occasional light lifting, pushing, or pulling of office materials (generally up to 30 pounds)
  • Ability to perform computer work, handle documents, and communicate information effectively
  • Fastpaced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines; requires professionalism, adaptability, collaboration, and multitasking
  • Frequent interaction with customers and coworkers; must communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and electronically
  • May perform incidental tasks to help maintain a professional office environment
  • Regional or national travel to branch locations in assigned region as required for business purposes
  • Regular in-person attendance during scheduled work hours is essential; occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required based on business needs
