Job description

This opportunity is with WorkUp, a portfolio company of Menlo Ventures

Workup (noun)

1. a diagnostic examination of a patient.
2. a period of training or preparation, typically for a specific operation.

The company

WorkUp is a technology platform focused on providing health systems the tools they need to expand, engage and convert their clinical talent pipeline.

Healthcare is facing a dire clinical workforce shortage. More than 20% of clinical healthcare jobs sit unfilled, resulting in high cost temporary staffing, delayed services, and even facility closings. Exacerbating the problem is a complex talent pipeline, managed by different teams across multiple tools, excel and paper. Even the most modern CRMs are too complicated and time intensive for thinly stretched talent facing healthcare teams.

WorkUp is led by entrepreneurs who've collectively launched and scaled five successful tech platforms. WorkUp combines automation and AI native tools to futureproof healthcare's talent-facing initiatives. WorkUp is backed by accomplished investors at Menlo Ventures and Fika Ventures.

The role

WorkUp is looking for a versatile Account Executive with a foundation in business development. The individual will partner with our CEO to launch and scale an account management organization, while also collaborating on go-to-market efforts. As an early member of the team, this role will be critical to the development of the organization. This team member will be a customer-facing swiss army knife, expected to handle a wide array of challenges and opportunities from understanding partner needs and workflows, to finding high potential new leads.
Core Responsibilities
  • Own key relationships: Build relationships with partners, understand their critical needs and workflows
  • Grow our footprint: Help source, build, and close new partnerships
  • Translate customer feedback into product insights: Work with WorkUp's product teams to transform feedback into product roadmap
  • Leverage data to drive outcomes: Use internal and external data sets to identify opportunities and measure outcomes
  • Keep an AI-native mindset: Use the latest tools to find ways to grow impact
  • Build with the founding team: Understand WorkUp's vision, mission. Co-lead initiatives to achieve audacious goals.
Qualifications
  • Self-starter: Motivated by impact, hungry to deliver results, and energized by building from the ground up
  • Social, Strong communicator: Skilled in navigating internal and external relationships with clarity and empathy
  • Highly organized: Able to own multiple work streams concurrently
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Able to problem-solve and adapt quickly
  • Analytical: Comfortable working with data to support partners and teammates; Excel or SQL experience is a plus
  • AI curious: Familiarity with and curiosity about emerging productivity and automation tools
  • Customer-facing foundation: 3+ years in enterprise-facing roles. Sales experience is a strong plus.
What We Offer
  • Compensation range: $80,000 - $140,000
  • Opportunity for generous equity
  • Passionate founding team with a track record of success and deep backing from accomplished investors
  • Premium medical, dental and vision plans, 401K
  • Hybrid (NYC) remote / office environment with a WFH Stipend ($1000/yr)
  • Unlimited PTO (which you're encouraged to take)
$80,000 - $140,000 a year
