The Work:
The Senior SAP OTC & GTS Workstream Lead is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and delivery of end-to-end Order to Cash processes within SAP S/4HANA, with specialized expertise in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) for trade compliance, customs management, and foreign trade operations. This role serves as a functional lead on large-scale SAP sales and trade transformation programs, guiding clients through process harmonization, system design, and go-live readiness across the full OTC landscape - from customer order management and fulfillment through billing, receivables, and global trade compliance execution.
Responsibilities:
OTC Process & Configuration
  • Lead design and configuration of core OTC processes including Sales Orders, Scheduling Agreements, Deliveries, Goods Issue, Billing, and Credit Management
  • Drive the design of customer master data, pricing procedures, output determination, and partner function configuration
  • Configure and optimize Sales & Distribution (SD) processes in S/4HANA including availability check (ATP), transfer of requirements, and delivery scheduling
  • Lead returns management design including returns orders, reverse goods receipt, credit memo processing, and refurbishment scenarios
  • Configure billing document types, revenue account determination, and integration with FI/AR for customer invoice posting and dunning
  • Design and configure SAP Credit Management (FIN-FSCM-CR) including credit limit checks, credit exposure calculation, and credit decision workflows
  • Support integration with MM (stock transport orders, cross-company sales), PP (make-to-order), and EWM (outbound delivery processing) where in scope

SAP Global Trade Services (GTS)
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP GTS, including: Trade Compliance - sanctioned party list (SPL) screening, embargo checks, and legal control classification, Customs Management - export and import customs declarations, customs document generation, and broker communication, Export Controls - export license determination, license management, and license utilization tracking, Preference Processing - vendor declarations, long-term supplier declarations (LTDs), and preference eligibility calculation, Restitution - agricultural export refund processing where applicable, Bonded Warehouse & Special Customs Procedures - inward/outward processing, customs warehousing
  • Design GTS feeder system integration with S/4HANA SD and MM for real-time compliance checks on sales orders, deliveries, and purchase orders
  • Configure commodity codes (HS/HTS/ECCN), legal regulations, and country-specific trade compliance rule sets
  • Advise clients on denied party screening frequency, screening scope, and escalation/override workflows
  • Support audit readiness for customs compliance, export control documentation, and trade preference claims

Program Delivery
  • Lead OTC and GTS workstreams through full SAP Activate lifecycle: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run
  • Facilitate fit-to-standard workshops with Sales, Customer Service, Trade Compliance, Customs, and Finance stakeholders
  • Author and maintain key design documents: BBPs, FSDs, configuration workbooks, GTS legal regulation matrices, and test scripts
  • Support data migration activities for customer master, pricing conditions, open sales orders, and commodity code assignments
  • Lead SIT, UAT, and cutover planning for OTC and GTS scope
  • Coordinate with MM, FI/AR, EWM, and Basis/technical teams on cross-workstream integration design and GTS system landscape setup

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage VP Sales, Chief Compliance Officer, Trade Compliance Directors, and CFO-level stakeholders as a trusted transformation advisor
  • Translate complex SAP SD and GTS configuration options into business-relevant design decisions
  • Manage client sign-off on OTC and trade compliance design decisions and track open issues through resolution
  • Advise on trade compliance operating model changes, policy alignment, and organizational readiness for GTS adoption

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements
Here's What You Need:
  • Minimum of 12 years of SAP functional experience, including full lifecycle S/4HANA or ECC implementation experience covering OTC/SD
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with SAP SD/OTC processes: order management, pricing, delivery, billing, credit management, and AR integration
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on configuration experience with SAP GTS: SPL screening, customs management, export controls, and/or preference processing
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with S/4HANA SD architecture and integration with FI/AR, MM, PP, and EWM
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience leading fit-to-standard workshops and authoring functional design documents
  • Prior experience working for a large Consulting/Advisory firm (Big 4, global SI, or boutique SAP consulting environment)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (12 years) work experience (If an, Associate's Degree with 6 years of work experience)

Bonus Points if You Have:
  • You have experience with multi-country GTS deployments covering US EAR/ITAR, EU dual-use, or APAC trade compliance frameworks
  • You have experience with SAP GTS integration via IDoc/BAPI feeder system architecture and GTS plug-in configuration
  • You have experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) for electronic invoicing and statutory reporting
  • You have experience in chemicals, defense, high-tech, industrial manufacturing, or life sciences with complex trade compliance requirements
  • You have experience with SAP S/4HANA Sales or GTS certification
