Job description

Worksource Oregon is helping a local convenience store fill positions for a new store opening in NE Portland. This employer is looking for Cooks for day and swing shifts.


JOB DUTIES:

Prepare food according to recipes and food safety standards.

Operate fryers, grills, and other commercial kitchen equipment.

Clean fryers, grills, prep stations, floors, and kitchen equipment.

Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware; maintained a sanitary work environment.

Receive deliveries and put away product using FIFO inventory rotation.

Stock food, supplies, and ingredients throughout shifts.

Assist with food prep, portioning, labeling, and storage.

Follow health department, food safety, and sanitation procedures.

Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and cleanliness.

Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions and helping them locate products


REQUIREMENTS:

Prior experience working in a kitchen preferred

Strong teamwork and customer service skills

Able to maintain a clean and safe work environment

Able to stand for long periods of time

Reliable and solid work ethic
