Job description

26-27 WorkSource JBLM Technology Resource Navigator
This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. WorkSource provides an array of services to job seekers and employers. At the JBLM branch we serve a high number of military affiliated clients. For example, military spouses experience unemployment rates three times the rate of the general population. Many of our clients need help accessing and using technology. By leveraging our partnerships, WorkSource JBLM supports transitioning military members and their families through wrap-around services and preparing them for new careers. The member supports our efforts through classroom and individualized technology instruction and also performs targeted outreach at various community events and via marketing campaigns. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in late August. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438.
Member Duties : The Technology Resource Navigator enhances WorkSource JBLM's capacity to provide targeted support to military impacted individuals' employment searches. They will deliver classes and training focused on technical and digital literary skills; provide individual support to help clients find the resources and tools for their specific needs; support individuals during self-directed activities and in job skills classes; design communications and outreach materials that specifically target military impacted individuals; attend outreach on base and in the community to promote WorkSource services.
