Students age 16 and older can participate in Highland Works, a program designed to allow students to be employed with various jobs around the district, including food service, transportation monitors, crossing guards, snow removal, and summer grounds/maintenance. The pay for ALL Highland Works positions is $15.16 per hour. Highland Works students accrue paid sick leave at the rate of 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked.
