The Work You Will Do:
Workplace Conduct Investigator/Office of Administration
This position will investigate internal and external employment discrimination and workplace conduct complaints, including claims filed with state and federal agencies. Collects and analyzes evidence, conducts witness interviews, evaluates claims for legal and policy compliance, and prepares comprehensive investigative reports with recommended actions or resolutions. Reviews District Office submissions for legal sufficiency, tracks investigation status and outcomes, and collaborates with HRO to improve workplace procedures. Monitors changes in federal and state regulations and develops training programs to promote employee awareness and compliance with workplace conduct requirements.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Investigates internal and external complaints of employment discrimination, including those filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR). Collects and analyzes relevant documentation and evidence, conducts witness interviews, and evaluates claims in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies. Prepares comprehensive investigative reports and determines the potential impact of findings on departmental operations. Reviews information submitted by District Offices for legal sufficiency and compliance with workplace conduct standards. Recommends appropriate actions or resolutions based on investigative outcomes. Collaborates with HRO staff to refine procedures and guidelines, monitors changes in relevant federal and state regulations that impact assigned teams.
Monitors and tracks the status and outcomes of ongoing internal and external workplace conduct investigations. Develops and maintains standardized investigative procedures and documentation protocols to promote consistency and compliance across the program area. Coordinates with internal departments and external agencies to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. Develops and delivers training programs tailored to Department needs to enhance employee awareness and ensure compliance with federal and state workplace conduct obligations.
Collects, reviews, and analyzes statistical and demographic data to identify trends related to equal employment opportunity and workplace conduct. Prepares reports and presentations for management, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to address emerging issues or areas of concern. Conducts special studies, workforce analyses, and program reviews at the direction of management to support strategic planning and continuous improvement.
The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:

- Federal and state laws, policies, and procedures related to workplace conduct and employment law compliance.

- Written and verbal communication, including investigative and compliance reporting.
- Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and implementing corrective actions.
- Organizing, evaluating, and presenting data, evidence, and documentation in a clear and logical format.
Ability to:
- Independently conduct and supervise investigations and audits.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend policy or procedural adjustments.
- Lead individual and group training sessions and deliver policy briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide effective customer services and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Travel statewide on short notice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Eight years of professional investigative, legal, administrative, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research or program evaluation experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for the years of required experience on a year-for-year basis.
