Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide the next operation with a quality product by sanding to tolerance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working from work orders, specifications, procedures, and detailed instructions to sand basic parts.

Operates pneumatic and hand sanding tools to prepare basic furniture parts at the raw stage, or prior to build-coat /topcoat processes.

Maintains close mental and visual attention to meet tolerance of finish per process.

Responsible for own work.

Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation's blueprint reading class preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

6 months of sanding experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety

shoes and protective clothing could be required.
