Position OverviewThis is a high-impact leadership role within a specialized regulatory accounting function, offering exposure to both executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team focused on financial and regulatory reporting
- Oversee preparation and review of FERC financial statements and filings, ensuring full compliance
- Manage GAAP financial reporting within a regulated environment
- Research and resolve technical accounting issues related to FERC and GAAP
- Partner with internal teams on rate cases, regulatory filings, and external audits
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and regulatory frameworks
- Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and reporting efficiencies
- Support financial analysis and reporting for leadership decision-making
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in energy or regulated industries
- Strong background in FERC reporting and regulatory compliance
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Advanced technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- CPA preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud and/or Workiva a plus)
