Job description

Apply now to join our therapeutic day school team empowering students with emotional and behavioral challenges to have successful experiences in school, at home and in the community.  The school is seeking an innovative, creative and enthusiastic licensed social worker to join our team on a temporary basis.     
The school social worker plans, prepares, and provides counseling to students weekly to meet programmatic needs and as specified in the IEP.  Solid counseling, effective crisis management, and excellent written/oral communication skills are required.  This role also requires someone who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality; and prioritize multiple responsibilities while working cooperatively with other members of the treatment team. 
Candidates must possess a Masters in Social Work with a Type 73 school license and an IL Drivers License.  Additionally, a minimum of three years experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities in a therapeutic day treatment school preferred.  Prospective employees will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
