Job Description 

HVAC Service Technician IV is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners. Must be able to properly startup, diagnose and repair issues on various types of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)

Startup and test equipment on commercial and industrial facilities.

Installing, maintaining, and repairing heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.

Log all startup information and service work orders into company provided iPad.

Meet equipment startup deadlines and inform Service Manager of any issues.

Maintain inventory and cleanliness of company provided vehicle.

Follow all safety rules and procedures of Rogers Mechanical and General Contractors.

Cleaning adjusting and maintaining HVAC systems.

Provide technical direction and on the job training to customers.

Must be able to work after hours, weekends with short notice.

Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial. 

Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

Working knowledge of HVAC equipment function and operations.

Ability to properly braze copper refrigerant piping.

Proficient in reading schematics and mechanical prints.

Air duct distribution systems in commercial and industrial.

Relevant policies and procedures of installation and maintenance.

Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on HVAC systems.

Ability to safely work at elevations such as roofs, scissor lifts and ladders.

Excellent written, verbal and listening interpersonal skills.

Ability to work cooperatively with other trades.

Time management skills.

Familiar with Building Automation Systems.


Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

OSHA 10 Certification required. 

EPA certified.

Must have ten or more years of experience. 


Physical Requirements 

Required to stand, walk, and sit.

Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.

Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls. 

Reach with hand (s) and arm (s). 

Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
