Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master IV to support Agile delivery initiatives within a fast-paced utility and energy technology environment.

This role serves as a servant leader and delivery-focused Agile coach responsible for enabling Agile teams to consistently deliver business value while maintaining alignment with project commitments, timelines, and organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Scrum facilitation skills, advanced Jira expertise, and the ability to partner effectively with Project Managers, Product Owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to drive predictable and high-quality delivery outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Execution

  • Partner closely with Project Managers to align sprint execution with:
    • Delivery milestones
    • Project commitments
    • Cross-team dependencies
    • Release timelines
  • Support delivery planning, forecasting, and risk management activities.
  • Reinforce Agile principles while maintaining strong delivery focus and execution discipline.
  • Help teams improve delivery predictability, quality, and flow efficiency.

Scrum Facilitation

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
    • Sprint Planning
    • Daily Standups
    • Sprint Reviews
    • Retrospectives
    • Backlog Refinement
  • Ensure Scrum events drive:
    • Planning clarity
    • Team alignment
    • Continuous improvement
    • Delivery accountability
  • Lead retrospectives focused on measurable process and delivery improvements.

Agile Coaching & Team Enablement

  • Coach Agile teams in:
    • Self-management
    • Accountability
    • Collaboration

  • Guide Product Owners, stakeholders, and Project Managers on Agile best practices.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and outcome-focused execution.
  • Identify and help remove organizational and team-level impediments impacting delivery.

Jira Administration & Metrics

  • Serve as the Jira subject matter expert for Agile delivery tracking and transparency.
  • Manage and optimize:
    • Jira boards
    • Workflows
    • Dashboards
    • Backlogs
    • Reporting structures
  • Coach teams on:
    • Backlog readiness
    • Sprint tracking
    • Dependency visibility
    • Work item management
  • Utilize delivery metrics and dashboards to support continuous improvement and delivery discussions.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide clear visibility into:
    • Sprint progress
    • Risks and blockers
    • Team capacity
    • Delivery health
  • Communicate effectively with:
    • Leadership teams
    • Technical teams
    • Product stakeholders
    • Business partners
  • Support alignment between Agile teams and enterprise delivery objectives.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a:
    • Scrum Master

  • Strong background supporting Agile delivery in enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders.
