• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand the psychological, social, and emotional factors affecting the student population.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate solution-focused methods and are developed in collaboration with students and their families.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to diverse student needs.

• Monitor client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure the well-being of each individual.

• Document all clinical interactions in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulations and reflect best practices.

• Collaborate closely with teachers, school nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to integrate mental health support within the school setting.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including staying abreast of the latest research and developments in mental health and social work.

Your work will primarily focus on students from diverse backgrounds facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. By fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, you will help students navigate their personal challenges, improve coping skills, and enhance their overall emotional resilience, thereby positively impacting their ability to thrive academically and socially.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• You must possess a current and valid LCSW license for the state of Connecticut.

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy methods, particularly solution-focused interventions.

• Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and team members in a school setting.

• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational environment is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with school systems and the dynamics of working within a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches.

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 based on experience and qualifications.
