Job description

Make an immediate impact by supporting students within a dynamic, engaging school environment just outside Hartford. Two full-time positions are now open for experienced Social Workers with strong backgrounds in school-based support. Each opportunity offers distinct caseloads and durations, with both starting August 31, 2026.

Details:

  • Position 1: High school caseload, August 31 – October 9, 2026 (35 hours/week)
  • Position 2: Elementary caseload, August 31 – September 30, 2026; potential for extension (35 hours/week)
  • Both roles are contract-based, Monday through Friday
  • All work is on-site; virtual services are not accepted
  • Focus is primarily on conducting student evaluations

Qualifications:

  • Valid and active CT DPH and CT (071) School Social Worker licensure/certification required
  • Prior experience working in school settings is mandatory
  • Confident managing short-term/short-leave assignments
  • Comfortable working independently within a fast-paced, collaborative educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to the unique needs of each school

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely social-emotional and behavioral evaluations for students in assigned caseloads
