Job description

Foreman

The Techline Crew Foreman is responsible for the management and supervision of all tasks associated with distribution line work, including from a pole with climbing gear, bucket truck, or while on the ground. The Foreman oversees Construction Groundmen, Operators, and Linemen and inspects work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure job specifications are met.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct people, equipment, and resources
  • Ensure sufficient deployment and productivity of work
  • Organize and coordinate daily activities of all crew members and resources to keep project on time
  • Ensure company/rented equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least one (1) year of extensive experience working in same or related field
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Able to adapt to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather
  • Able to meet physical requirements. Actions include but are not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting 70 pounds, and more.
  • At least eight years in the power line construction business, with three being journeyman lineman experience and foreman experience preferred
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL
  • At least one year driving experience required
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
  • Adhere to company safety and health policies
  • Some travel required

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position will be responsible for supervising and managing a crew of Linemen, Operators, and Groundmen.
