Job description

Universal Health Corporation is a physician-owned medical practice serving post-acute and long-term care facilities. We are committed to delivering a best-in-class experience for both our patients and our employees. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and biweekly payroll processing, while assisting the Controller with additional accounting functions as needed.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains strict confidentiality, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly payroll (including off-cycle payrolls) in coordination with HR
  • Maintain accurate payroll, benefits, and compensation records in ADP
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments
  • Oversee accounts receivable processing and tracking
  • Coordinate payroll garnishments and required deductions
  • Assist with month-end close activities
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and conduct expense research
  • Maintain detailed and accurate financial records
  • Support the Controller with additional accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll processing experience using ADP
  • Working knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Bill.com and QuickBooks Online preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
