About the Position: Serves as the Classification Branch Chief in a Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Providing technical advisory services to management on position classification, which includes writing and evaluating position descriptions, applying OPM classification standards and/or guides to determine the correct title, series, and grade, 2) Advising managers on strategic organizational design, career path development, and/or the impact of reorganization on positions, 3) Resolving complex or controversial classification issues.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.Employment Type: OTHER
