JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Warehouse Specialist Supervisor for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), providing support for worldwide storage and distribution services in both peacetime and war to create a complex adaptive environment where support personnel may be required to supplement military and federal employees.

Place of Performance: DLA Distribution, Albany, GA (DDAG).


Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, five days per week, Monday through Friday, except observed Federal holidays.


Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Warehouse Specialist Supervisor to serve as the on-site supervisor for warehousing and distribution operations supporting DLA Distribution Albany, Georgia (DDAG). Reporting to the Project/Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Specialist Supervisor acts as the contractor's on-site supervisor and the point of contact for Government representatives in the Warehouse Manager's absence, and must remain on-site for the duration of the contract.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Receive taskings from the Project/Warehouse Manager and supervise contractor employees in daily distribution operations.
  • Plan and manage the project professionally; allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operational performance, taking direction from the Government to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule work properly to obtain maximum use of resources and ensure accurate, timely reports.
  • Provide effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods; apply cost-saving factors and quality controls.
  • Spot-check completed work for compliance with the contract on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
  • Ensure work is done properly and efficiently in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Reinforce risk management, internal controls, audit-sustainment requirements, and SOP compliance with the workforce.
  • Warehouse/distribution environment; standard and potential off-shift coordination to support 1st and 3rd shift operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience using DLA's Warehouse Management System (WMS) or an equivalent Warehouse Management System within the past five (5) years (required).
  • Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse teams (receiving, stowing, picking, packing, issuing, inventory).
  • Working knowledge of quality control practices, work scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  • Proficient in reading and communicating effectively in English; basic math and personal computer skills.
  • Willingness to provide a resume (not to exceed 3 pages) and a Letter of Intent for inclusion in a federal proposal.
  • On-site position at a secure DoD installation; must be able to obtain and maintain installation access (background/security checks apply) and a Common Access Card (CAC) as required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment controlled substance screening per company policy.
