Summary of Position

The E-Books Team Member is responsible for sorting, evaluating, and listing books and media for sale online using an automated inventory management system. This position shelves books and media, retrieves and quality checks sold items, packs orders and ships packages.


Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Sort, evaluates, and scans books and media for online sales using an automated inventory management system.
  • Retrieves ordered items from warehouse and accurately matches pick sheet to SKU and title.
  • Packs books and media utilizing size and type of envelope for each item.
  • Utilizes shipping application software to generate shipping labels and resolves address issues.
  • Meets daily production goals for item scanned and shipped.
  • Lists accepted books and media for sale online.
  • Accurately assigns and shelves product.
  • Maintains clean and safe work area.
  • Assists with regular purging of unsold inventory.
  • Transfers totes, pallets and large gaylord boxes of books and media in staging area and workspace as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task to meet daily production quotas.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to stand, bend and twist for eight hours.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
