Job Summary
Instruction in non-credit continuing professional education courses in one or more of the following areas: IT certifications - A+, Net+, Security +, Cisco CCNA; AWS, coding/programming and related subject areas. Responsibilities include creating and teaching courses in your area of subject matter expertise. Class schedules may include day, evening or weekends.
Qualifications - Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in subject area. Will consider AS degree or industry relevant certification(s) with strong work history and demonstrated subject matter expertise. Professional designations or certifications in subject matter desired. Relevant certification required to teach certification prep classes.
Qualifications - Experience
Expertise in various areas needed:
โ€ข all Coding/ Programming languages: R, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Swift, Go, C/C#/C++, Python, MatLab; VBA; Excel, Excel Expert,
โ€ข Hardware: CompTIA certifications, Cisco certifications.
โ€ข Specialty Areas: Cyber-security; AWS certifications, Apple Certifications
Qualifications - Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in related field of specialization. Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use technology in education. Please be specific in stating your areas of expertise and experience. 3+ years professional work experience in the subject area. At least 1 year of classroom teaching experience with non-traditional adult students preferred.
