Role Description
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leadingthe planning, materials, inventory, warehousing, shipping, receiving, andlogistics functions supporting Comlux America's aircraft completion andmanufacturing operations. This role ensures materials are accurately planned,available when required, properly controlled, and efficiently moved through theorganization to support production schedules and aircraft delivery commitments.
The Logistics Manager serves as the primaryinterface between Planning, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, andFinance to ensure material readiness, inventory optimization, scheduleadherence, and operational efficiency. The position provides leadership forManufacturing Kitting, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations,International Shipping and Receiving, and Material Quality Inspection whiledriving process discipline, continuous improvement, and data-driven operationalperformance.
Essential Job Functions
• Lead warehousing and distribution functionsto ensure materials and products are safely and securely received, moved,stored, kitted, and shipped in support of production requirements.
• Manage shipping and receiving activities,including domestic and international shipments, to ensure efficient materialflow and prevent bottlenecks or delays.
• Establish departmental priorities, workloadbalancing, staffing requirements, and resource plans to support operationaldemands.
• Lead Manufacturing Kitting activities toensure required materials and components are accurately picked, organized,documented, and delivered to production in accordance with establishedschedules.
• Oversee inventory management activities tomaintain accurate inventory levels, appropriate safety stock, materialavailability, and effective inventory control.
• Develop and maintain planning, materialcontrol, warehousing, and logistics processes, standards, and procedures thatsupport efficient production execution.
• Monitor critical material availability andpartner with Supply Chain and Procurement to identify shortages, mitigaterisks, and ensure production readiness.
• Lead planning and operational readinessreviews to identify material, inventory, logistics, and schedule risks andestablish appropriate mitigation plans.
• Partner with Material Analysts and SupplyChain teams to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies thatimprove material availability while reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Establish and monitor departmental KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs), including schedule adherence, materialavailability, inventory accuracy, inventory performance, planning accuracy,shipping and receiving performance, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze operational and inventory data toidentify trends, inefficiencies, material risks, and opportunities forimprovement.
• Lead continuous improvement initiativesfocused on planning processes, material flow, inventory management, kitting,warehouse operations, and schedule execution.
• Serve as the primary escalation point forsignificant planning, material, inventory, warehouse, shipping, receiving, andschedule-related issues.
• Collaborate with Finance to supportinventory valuation, inventory accuracy, material cost analysis, workingcapital initiatives, and other financial objectives related to materials andlogistics.
• Support the implementation, optimization,and continuous improvement of ERP, MRP, inventory management, warehousemanagement, and operational reporting systems.
• Ensure appropriate controls are establishedand maintained for material traceability, inventory transactions, shippingdocumentation, receiving documentation, and other required records.
• Ensure material quality inspectionactivities are completed in accordance with established company procedures,engineering requirements, and quality standards.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering,Procurement, and Production to resolve material discrepancies, shortages,damaged material, supplier issues, and other conditions that may impactproduction.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures,safety requirements, quality standards, regulatory requirements, import/exportrequirements, and applicable operational controls.
• Develop departmental workforce plans andoversee staffing, succession planning, performance management, training, andemployee development.
• Coach, mentor, and develop planning,materials, inventory, kitting, warehouse, and logistics personnel to buildtechnical capability and a culture of accountability.
• Establish and maintain effectivecommunication and operating rhythms across Planning, Production, Supply Chain,Procurement, Quality, Finance, and other key stakeholders.
• Prepare and present operational performancereports, material status, inventory metrics, risks, and improvement initiativesto leadership.
• Support strategic operational initiativesand other projects as assigned by leadership.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Education andExperience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply ChainManagement, Operations Management, Business Administration, AviationManagement, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent education andrelevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressiveexperience in production planning, materials management, supply chain,inventory management, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experiencemanaging planning, materials, inventory, logistics, warehouse, or operationalsupport teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing materialflow and logistics within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, inventorymanagement, warehouse management, or other operational systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading processimprovement, operational excellence, or Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Experience working in an aerospace,aviation, highly regulated manufacturing, or similarly complex productionenvironment preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Advanced knowledge of production planning,materials management, inventory control, supply chain operations, logistics,warehousing, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of productionscheduling, material requirements planning, inventory optimization, kitting,and material flow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillswith the ability to identify operational risks and develop proactive mitigationstrategies.
• Ability to analyze operational data andtranslate findings into actionable business decisions.
• Strong project management, organizational,and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonalskills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functionalareas.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel,Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, warehousemanagement, inventory management, and business intelligence systems.
• Ability to influence and collaborateeffectively across Planning, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality,Engineering, and Finance.
• Strong financial and operational acumen withan understanding of inventory cost, working capital, labor efficiency, andoperational performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, anddevelop employees and build high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing andcontinuous improvement principles preferred.
• Ability to establish priorities, managemultiple projects, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operationalenvironment.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality,schedule performance, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

This position is based in an aircraft hangarenvironment and may involve:
