Job description

Payroll Administrator – Temp-to-Hire

Location: Tulsa, OK | 100% Onsite

Pay: $55,000–$65,000 DOE

Duration: 90+ Days | Strong Potential for Temp-to-Hire


We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our client’s team in Tulsa. This role is responsible for processing accurate, timely multi-state biweekly payroll and serving as a key point of contact for employee payroll questions. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to calmly resolve and de-escalate employee concerns.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly, multi-state payroll through ADP Workforce Now
  • Review timesheets, timecard totals, payroll reports, and payroll registers for accuracy
  • Process payroll adjustments, deductions, final pay, and related paperwork
  • Calculate and process employee withholdings and deductions
  • Process garnishments, support orders, and tax levies
  • Handle a high volume of payroll inquiries and resolve issues professionally
  • Troubleshoot timekeeping/time clock issues with field operations
  • Audit employee pay records, tax information, and payroll documentation
  • Assist with payroll tax, accounting, and internal/external audits
  • Process quarter-to-date/year-to-date adjustments and support W-2 preparation
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of payroll experience
  • ADP Workforce Now experience required
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Workday experience is a plus
  • Multi-state payroll experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to de-escalate concerns and represent the payroll team professionally
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • AA degree in Accounting, Business, or related field highly desired; Bachelor’s preferred
