Job Overview
The IT Manager, WFM/HCM is responsible for leading a team of functional and technical analysts supporting UKG Workforce Management (WFM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) applications across Komatsu North America organizations. This role provides leadership for the configuration, support, enhancement, integration, and ongoing optimization of critical HR technology solutions.
This role will also partner closely with HR Operations, HRIS, local workforce management teams, IT, and business leadership to ensure systems effectively support timekeeping, scheduling, attendance, accruals, pay policies, labor postings, HCM functionality, Integration to ERP systems and related business processes. This position will also oversee projects, resource and capacity planning, testing, deployments, documentation, and system enhancements while ensuring solutions meet business, audit, and global support requirements.
This individual will serve as a key technology partner to HR leadership and will be responsible for developing a high-performing team, managing vendor relationships, and driving reliable and effective delivery of WFM and HCM solutions.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, coach, and mentor a team of functional and technical analysts responsible for supporting UKG WFM and HCM applications.
  • Oversee the day-to-day configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, interfaces, testing, patches, minor releases, and ongoing support of UKG WFM and related HR applications.
  • Partner with HR Operations, HRIS, local WFM teams, and other business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely, knowledgeable, and effective technology solutions.
  • Ensure time and labor and HR operational requirements are supported across timekeeping, scheduling, attendance, accruals, pay policies, SuccessFactors integrations, and HCM functionality.
  • Manage project plans, resource and capacity planning, testing, deployment, and documentation for WFM and HCM initiatives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of business requirements, including oversight of requirements documentation, solution development, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage complex technology projects, including application development, system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and package rollouts.
  • Support initiatives such as onboarding new affiliates to UKG WFM, implementing new WFM modules, enhancing existing WFM functionality, upgrading UKG WFM, and implementing or enhancing other HR applications.
  • Partner directly with business leaders to define, scope, and implement technology solutions aligned with business priorities and initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with HR leadership and maintain alignment between HR technology capabilities and organizational needs.
  • Work closely with AMS partners, UKG, and other technology providers to ensure successful project and support delivery.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to supplement internal capabilities and support system initiatives.
  • Collaborate across IT, including developers, analysts, and other technology teams, on integrations, system modifications, new development, issue resolution, and deployments.
  • Manage budgetary spend across projects and applicable accounts as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive leadership, regarding technology solutions, requirements, projects, and system capabilities.
  • Support user training, change management, and issue resolution to drive successful adoption and use of WFM and HCM solutions.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience and knowledge of UKG Workforce Management (WFM) business processes, including timekeeping, scheduling, attendance, and accruals.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SuccessFactors modules.
  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP HCM modules.
  • Strong people management experience with demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and mentor functional and technical team members.
  • Previous experience planning and executing large, complex technology projects.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and translate business needs into technical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor, consultant, and technology partner relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical processes and concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate and build effective relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership.
  • Strong presentation and change management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, build, and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.

Additional Information
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $140,000-$170,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
