We're looking for a payroll professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and delivering exceptional customer service. Depending on your experience, technical expertise, and leadership background, this opportunity may be filled as a Payroll Coordinator, HRIS & Payroll Specialist, or Payroll Supervisor.

What You'll Do
As a member of Fleet Farm's Payroll team, you'll play an important role in supporting payroll operations across our multi-location retail organization. Depending on your experience and the level of the position, you'll process payroll, support HRIS administration, resolve payroll issues, improve processes, and help ensure an outstanding experience for our team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process, audit, and maintain accurate bi-weekly payroll for assigned locations.
  • Review and validate weekly timecards, including PTO, leaves of absence, and other payroll transactions.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while providing exceptional customer service to team members and leaders.
  • Process employee payroll and HRIS transactions, including new hires, transfers, status changes, and terminations.
  • Support UKG Workforce Management and UKG Pro by assisting with reporting, troubleshooting, user support, and system maintenance.
  • Maintain payroll records and process employment and wage verification requests.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive payroll and employee information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and store leadership to support payroll accuracy and a positive team member experience.

Additional Responsibilities Based on Experience
Candidates with more advanced payroll and HRIS experience may also:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for UKG Pro and Workforce Management.
  • Support HRIS administration, reporting, system testing, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Lead payroll audits, compliance initiatives, and reporting activities.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to payroll team members.
  • Help drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payroll operations and team efficiency.

What You'll Bring
We're open to hiring at different levels based on your experience and qualifications.
  • Experience processing payroll in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with UKG Workforce Management and/or UKG Pro is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a multi-location or retail organization is preferred.
  • HRIS administration experience is a plus.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus for candidates considered for higher-level opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
