Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Interventional Radiology (IR)
Job Overview
Join a dedicated, fast-paced procedural team providing critical care for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care. This role focuses on administering intraoperative moderate sedation and circulating when required. The RN closely monitors cardiac and physical status, collaborating directly with physicians to ensure maximum patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
Schedule and Shift Details

  • Weekly Hours: 36 or 40 hours per week
  • Shift Type: Days (10 or 12-hour shifts)
  • On-Call: Required for weekends and nights

Core Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage moderate/conscious sedation independently.
  • Monitor patient telemetry, cardiac status, and physical stability closely during procedures.
  • Circulate within the procedural room when not actively administering sedation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with physicians to maintain safety, comfort, and privacy protocols.

Job Requirements
  • Licensure: Active New York (NY) RN License only.
  • Experience: Minimum two (2) years of RN experience.
  • Specialty Experience: Proven background in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Moderate Sedation.
  • Clinical Skills: Telemetry proficiency and ability to Circulate ONLY.
  • Preferred: Prior experience working in a Level 1 Trauma hospital Operating Room.

Required Certifications
  • BLS: American Heart Association (AHA) only.
  • ACLS: American Heart Association (AHA) only.
