Duties and Responsibilities:

 Instruction & Student Learning
Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction using effective and inclusive teaching strategies in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats
Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with approved curriculum and student learning outcomes
Integrate current business practices, technology tools, and workforce expectations into instruction
Assess and document student learning outcomes and use data to improve instruction
Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress
Foster a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment that supports student success
Curriculum & Program Development
Participate in the development, review, and revision of curriculum to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards
Assist in scheduling courses to support timely program completion for students
Support program assessment, accreditation, and compliance with institutional and system requirements
Maintain active engagement with the program's advisory committee, including coordinating at least two meetings annually
Student Support & Engagement
Provide academic advising and career guidance to students within the program
Identify and refer students to appropriate academic support services as needed
Participate in recruitment, retention, and completion initiatives
Promote student engagement through participation in student organizations, events, and program activities
Professional Development
Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in teaching practices, business trends, and instructional technology
Participate in relevant professional organizations, conferences, and training opportunities
Contribute to institutional initiatives such as leadership development programs, accreditation efforts, or system-level activities
College & Community Service
Serve on college committees and contribute to shared governance
Support institutional initiatives, including program development and strategic planning

Required Education: 

MINIMUM OUALIFICIATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 15 semester credit hours in business or a closely related field
OR
Associate degree in a business-related field with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level
Experience with on line or hybrid instruction
Industry experience in office administration, business operations, or related areas
Experience using instructional technology and learning management systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage diverse student populations and support student success
Proficiency in business software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, office management systems)
Organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and community partners
