Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Manager 2, Program Planning on our Schedule Management team supporting the Strike Program in Palmdale, CA, El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA. 25% travel if located in Palmdale, CA and 50-75% travel is located in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage a team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts
• Perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews
• Develop direct team knowledge and depth
• Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.
• Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated.
• Provides weekly status and reporting
• Conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
• Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
o DCMA 14-point
o IPMR DI-MGMT-81861
o NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines
o Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
o Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
o Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
• Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
• Ability to perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis and make recommendations to solve problems
• Ability to create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership
• Ability to effectively work with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business and/or STEM (Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 7 years of Planning & Scheduling, Finance, Pricing, Program/Project Management, or Engineering experience; OR Master's degree with 5 years of the same experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Special Access Programs Clearance prior to start
  • Willingness to work on-site full time in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Server environment
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk
  • Some Finance knowledge
  • Experience and knowledge in both EV Cost and Schedule Management
  • Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and executive leadership

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
