Job Overview

The Business Development Manager, Site Services is responsible for driving growth across Proconex's Site Services business through strategic market development, lead generation, opportunity qualification, and the delivery of staffing and managed service solutions. This role owns the sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and collaborates closely with Account Management, Operations, and Recruiting teams to ensure solutions are accurately scoped, operationally feasible, and positioned for long-term customer success.

This position requires a proven track record of business development, customer engagement, solution selling, and commercial execution within technical services, staffing, workforce solutions, or managed services environments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Own the front-end sales cycle and drive growth across managed and unmanaged customer accounts.
  • Lead market strategy and target account planning, developing go-to-market strategies in partnership with Operations and Account Management.
  • Generate and prospect staffing and managed services opportunities within target markets.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify and pursue opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Qualify opportunities by assessing customer requirements, delivery feasibility, and commercial viability.
  • Lead proposal development, including scope definition, pricing inputs, timelines, and customer presentations.
  • Lead contract negotiations while ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal delivery capabilities.
  • Identify and pursue account expansion, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.

Service Delivery Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations to define technical, staffing, and delivery requirements for proposed solutions.
  • Provide input into demand forecasting, including anticipated headcount, skill requirements, and timing of upcoming opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting to communicate customer requirements, priorities, and timelines.
  • Support candidate interviewing and selection activities by providing customer and opportunity context.
  • Support customer retention efforts through ongoing relationship management and customer satisfaction monitoring.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles.
  • 5+ years of experience identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  • 5+ years of experience developing customer relationships and driving revenue growth within existing and prospective accounts.
  • 3+ years of experience preparing proposals, developing pricing inputs, and supporting contract negotiations.
  • 3+ years of experience working within staffing, workforce solutions, technical services, service delivery, or managed services environments.
  • Established professional network within industrial, technical services, engineering, staffing, or related markets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling staffing, workforce, or managed service solutions.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies and target account plans.
  • Experience collaborating with recruiting and operations teams to deliver staffing or service-based solutions.
  • Experience supporting customers in process automation, life sciences, chemicals, utilities, energy, or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience leading customer presentations, solution development, and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience expanding service offerings within existing customer accounts.
