This role will be based in New York City (preferred) or Chicago.

LinkedIn is looking for a Senior Manager of Sales Development for our NAMER business. As Senior Manager you will grow and lead a team of talented Managers & Sales Development Representatives (SDR's) to deliver qualified leads and talent needed by sales to achieve the company's objectives.  

This role currently reports to the Sr. Director-Global Head of Sales Development, Acquisition & Engagement and offers a tremendous opportunity to make a significant, direct impact on LinkedIn's growth objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for scaling and transforming our sales development channels to be the best in class. The role involves varied work, both in areas of strategy and in execution; management experience, along with access to extensive and insightful data.

Responsibilities  

  • Inspire, lead, and engage sales managers and teams towards the organization's vision, mission, and strategy  

  • Foster our commitment to talent development via our Sales Academy and Manager Development programs and execute the NAMER talent strategy for managers and ICs (Individual Contributors)  

  • Manage, lead, and support an experienced management team to overachieve assigned quota of qualified leads & bookings to the field sales organization  

  • Partner with the field sales & marketing organization to ensure goals, deliverables and expectations are aligned and met  

  • Deploy best practice prospecting methodologies and processes across all aspects of the lead generation workflow  

  • Drive Operational Excellence through the adherence of sales disciplines, operating models, and key performance indicators  

  • Stay up to date of and educate the team on industry-leading best practices and methodologies, and ensure these are adopted as appropriate into our lead generation processes  

Qualifications

Basic qualifications  

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing a sales team or a sales support team 

Preferred qualifications  

  • Experience managing first-line managers  

  • Proven record of successfully overachieving targets in sales or sales support roles  

  • Experience working within the recruitment, marketing, SaaS industry or other relevant industry  

  • Strong people management skills with proven track record of developing talent  

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal  

  • Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making  

  • A passion for getting things done and a desire to drive results  

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and collaborate successfully across a senior cross-functional leadership team  

  • Passion for building and leading high-growth acquisition, Sales Development/Lead Generation teams  

  • Expert in prospecting best practices and tactics with the ability to train team members in how to successfully learn and deploy these best practices  

  • Strength in working with varied groups, including senior management, sales, operations, and marketing teams  

  • The ability to create a vision and inspire our teams to achieve

The pay range for this role is $212,00 to $323,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
