Position Summary
The Employment Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering employment-related vocational rehabilitation services authorized through the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS). This role maintains an active caseload of participants receiving employment services while also supporting employer engagement, job development, supported employment coordination, documentation compliance, and employment outcomes. This position serves as a key operational contact among participants, employers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and WE Inc. staff to ensure timely, high-quality employment services that lead to successful competitive employment outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in rehabilitation services, workforce development, business, human services, education, counseling, social work, or related field
• Minimum of two years experience in vocational rehabilitation, workforce development, supported employment, case management, staffing, recruiting, sales, employer engagement, or related field preferred
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills required
• Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with employers, counselors, participants, and staff
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and participant needs simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Primary Responsibilities
Caseload Management & Employment Services
• Maintain an active caseload of participants receiving ADRS employment service authorizations
• Coordinate participant employment plans, service delivery, and progress toward employment goals
• Assist participants with job search activities, applications, resumes, interview preparation, and workplace readiness skills
• Support participants in identifying and pursuing realistic employment opportunities aligned with strengths, interests, and abilities with the ultimate goal of securing employment.
• Monitor participant progress and address barriers impacting employment outcomes
• Conduct follow-up and retention support as appropriate
Authorization & Documentation Management
• Receive, track, and coordinate ADRS employment-related authorizations
• Monitor authorization timelines, service expectations, and completion requirements
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, professionally, and within required timelines
• Communicate regularly with ADRS counselors regarding participant progress, concerns, and service updates
• Review documentation for quality, completeness, and billing readiness
Employer Engagement & Job Development
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with local employers, businesses, and community partners
• Conduct employer outreach to identify job opportunities, internship sites, and hiring partnerships
• Promote inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other employment barriers
• Match participant strengths and interests with available job opportunities
• Coordinate interviews, employer follow-up, and placement activities
• Support development of long-term community employment partnerships
Supported Employment Coordination
• Assist with coordination and monitoring of supported employment services
• Monitor participant movement toward employment milestones and stabilization outcomes
• Communicate with job coaches and employment staff regarding participant support needs and service delivery concerns
• Identify barriers impacting successful employment outcomes and communicate concerns to leadership
• Support consistency, accountability, and quality within employment services
Operational & Team Support
• Participate in departmental meetings, staffing discussions, and organizational planning efforts
• Assist with staff training related to documentation, timelines, employer engagement, and service expectations
• Support organizational compliance efforts related to ADRS, CARF, and other regulatory or funding requirements
• Assist leadership in identifying workflow improvements and operational needs within Rehabilitation Services

Typical Working Conditions
