About the Role:

Hourly $24.00

The WFD Specialist plays a critical role in assisting adults with disabilities to enhance employability skills and prepare for community employment. The specialist collaborates with various stakeholders including state agencies and other partners, employers, and internal team members to create pathways for workforce readiness. The Specialist may provide instruction on an individual basis or small group settings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in social service field
  • At least 2 years of experience in employment related services with 6 months experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of workforce development principles, labor market dynamics, and program management.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office
  • Driver's License & good driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities:

  • Support adults with disabilities to improve work readiness skills & obtain employment in the community
  • Work as part of a team to provide individual and classroom instruction
  • Be creative and innovative in approach to service delivery
  • Coordinate employer and partner engagement that will support program participants in achieving their vocational goals
  • Follow internal and external guidelines for quality service delivery and casefile management
