Job description

About SailPoint:
SailPoint is the leader in identity security for the cloud enterprise. Our identity security solutions secure and enable thousands of companies worldwide, giving our customers unmatched visibility into the entirety of their digital workforce, ensuring workers have the right access to do their job - no more, no less.
Built on a foundation of AI and ML, our Identity Security Cloud Platform delivers the right level of access to the right identities and resources at the right time-matching the scale, velocity, and changing needs of today's cloud-oriented, modern enterprise.
About the role:
As an AI Workflow Architect, you will be responsible for agentifying critical business workflows to establish and solution concrete AI efficiently use cases across the company. You will be the person who walks into any function of the business, quickly understands the real operational bottleneck, and creates a working agentic solution that flows through our security and technical review process.
This is not primarily a coding role. The highest-value skill here is business judgment: knowing which problems are worth solving, why they matter, and how to get organizational buy-in to actually deploy the solution. You will need enough technical fluency to build working solutions and evaluate AI-generated output, but deep engineering expertise is not required.
You will operate with a small team of AI experts and report to Head of AI. As the "tip of the spear" you will work with leadership across every function at SailPoint to help Identify and deploy Agentic solutions to achieve maximum operational efficiency, while simultaneously respecting the dignity of the role of people in the future of SailPoint's workforce. You will have a strong sense of agency and innovation with 0-1 Agentic solutioning skills. You will be an inspiration to others with your mastery of multiple agentic tools and platforms, freeing SailPoint employees from the mundane and helping the entire company operate at the highest and best use of their intellect.
You will be responsible for the following:
Diagnose & Prioritize
  • Engage with leaders across every business function to identify high-value automation opportunities.
  • Evaluate use cases against a consistent ROI framework: time saved, error reduction, scalability, and strategic importance.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized pipeline of agentic workflow opportunities.

Design & Build
  • Architect end-to-end agentic workflows using modern AI tools and platforms.
  • Build working prototypes and proof-of-concepts, using AI-assisted development tools where appropriate.
  • Translate business requirements into workflow designs that can be reviewed and hardened by technical and security teams.
  • Develop a library of reusable agentic components to accelerate future work.

Deliver & Document
  • Shepherd each workflow through security and technical review, then into production.
  • Benchmark and document the value delivered by each workflow (time, cost, quality metrics).
  • Present findings and pipeline recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to a best-practices guide for agentic workflow development across the organization.

About the team:
You will be a foundational member of a small team of AI experts working for the Head of AI. You will work closely with leaders across the corporation aligning with their business priorities and delivering a suite of AI workflow solutions for them. This is a highly cross-functional role that will require you to navigate organizational complexity and build strong relationships with leaders in all functions at SailPoint.
Roadmap for success:
30 Days:
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across all functions
  • Conduct a rapid audit of current systems and manual workflows to identify automation candidates.
  • Establish your working tech stack and tooling preferences.
  • Co-develop the initial use case pipeline with the AI Innovation team.

90 Days:
  • Deliver 5 agentic workflows in production, each with benchmarked value documentation.
  • Present a first iteration of the agentic workflow best-practices guide.
  • Advise IT on infrastructure and tooling requirements to expand agentic capabilities.

6 Months:
  • Deliver 15 agentic workflows in production, with full ROI documentation.
  • Begin building a reusable component library that accelerates future workflow development.

1 Year:
  • Expand your knowledge and skillset with market available tools and enhance SailPoint's Agentification capabilities.

Strategic thinkers who understand how businesses operate, can quickly identify where AI creates leverage, and are comfortable building working solutions using modern AI tools. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you need to think clearly about systems, data flow, and tradeoffs.
Business Acumen (Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose operational inefficiencies and translate them into clear problem statements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders to understand needs and build solutions.
  • Comfort presenting ROI analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize across competing demands.
  • A track record of shipping things, not just planning them.

Technical Fluency (Required)
You do not need to be a deep coder, but you should be comfortable working with AI tools to build and evaluate workflows.
  • Working familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and platforms (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, n8n, Make).
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to prototype workflows.
  • Familiarity with API integrations (REST, webhooks) and how systems connect to one another.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated AI services.
  • Ability to read and evaluate AI-generated code and workflow logic for correctness and risk.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) or workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Familiarity with data security, privacy principles, and responsible AI practices.
  • Background in management consulting, business operations, or product management alongside AI tooling experience.

The Tech Stack (if applicable):
We are platform-agnostic and believe in using the best tool for the job. Our current ecosystem includes:
  • AI/ML: LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic Claude, Mistral, Cursor
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Data: SQL, NoSQL, various data warehousing solutions
  • Orchestration: n8n, Make, and other workflow orchestration tools
