EMR Implementation & Optimization Manager

The EMR Implementation & Optimization Manager will be responsible for leading the successful planning, implementation, optimization and adoption of an electronic medical record and practice management system across the organization along with the ongoing support structure post-implementation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage implementation plans, project timelines and budget.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, IT, revenue cycle, compliance and executive stakeholders to define implementation requirements and success criteria.
  • Assess current state workflows and design future state processes that improve clinical efficiency, patient safety, documentation and operational performance.
  • Coordinate EMR and practice management configuration, testing, training, data migration, interfaces, reporting and system validation activities.
  • Develop and execute go-live and cutover plans, including staffing, support models, contingency planning and escalation procedures.
  • Monitor post-go-live performance, identify optimization opportunities and coordinate stabilization activities.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate implementation success and system adoption.
  • Ensure implementation activities comply with organizational policies, healthcare regulations, privacy requirements and applicable industry standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and future system upgrades, enhancements and optimization projects
  • Establish and manage post-go live support structure
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information technology, health informatics or a related field
  • Prior experience working in an ambulatory healthcare environment and strong knowledge of physician practice workflows
  • Experience implementing major EMR and practice management platforms such as Epic, eClinicalWorks or NextGen in a multi-specialty, multi-site ambulatory environment
  • PMP, CPHIMS or other relevant project management/healthcare IT certification preferred
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR
  • Experience with data migration, interfaces, integrations, reporting and system testing
  • Experience with clinical transformation, workflow redesign, change management and organizational readiness
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

The potential base pay range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 annually.

The pay range listed in this job posting is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered and is not a guarantee of a particular wage. Actual base pay will vary and is commensurate with the applicantโ€™s knowledge, experience, education, skills, training, certifications, and qualifications required for the role. In addition, the listed pay range is based on factors at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future based on market data, internal equity, and the budget of the department hiring for this position. Final compensation and benefit eligibility may vary by role and employment status and will be confirmed at the time of offer. Benefits, PTO, and Holiday Pay are only available to employees working 24 hours or more per week.
