Brief Job Description:
Performs highly complex (senior level) computer systems analysis work for the System Support Services (SSS) Division Coordination Office. Work involves analyzing business processes, identifying system requirements, and designing and implementing technology solutions to improve workflow efficiency, automation, and information management.
Leads efforts to evaluate, design, and deploy workflow automation, data integration, and content management solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint. Translates business needs into functional system designs, supports implementation of automation solutions, and improves coordination infrastructure supporting executive operations and cross-functional initiatives.
Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs):
(1) Systems Analysis and Requirements Development. Leads analysis of business processes to identify inefficiencies, system gaps, and automation opportunities; Gathers and documents user requirements through stakeholder engagement and process evaluation; Translates business needs into functional specifications, system requirements, and solution designs; Validates requirements and proposed solutions with program and leadership stakeholders (25%)
(2) Workflow Automation and Solution Design. Designs, develops, and implements automated workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and related platforms; Develops logic-based workflows to support data collection, approvals, notifications, and operational processes; Evaluates and recommends automation tools and technologies, including AI-driven solutions; Leads development of scalable and sustainable automation solutions aligned to business needs (25%)
(3) Application and Data Solution Development. Designs and develops user-facing applications and forms using Power Apps or similar platforms; Builds dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and other technologies; Integrates data sources to enable real-time reporting and improve accessibility of information; Ensures data solutions support operational oversight and decision-making needs (15%)
(4) Systems Implementation and Integration. Coordinates implementation of new or revised systems, automation solutions, and tools; Plans and supports system deployment, testing, and rollout activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT); Ensures integration between automation tools, SharePoint environments, and reporting systems; Collaborates with IT and business teams to refine solutions and ensure alignment with agency standards (15%)
(5) Process Improvement and Documentation. Develops process maps, flowcharts, and system documentation for current and future state processes; Creates and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user guides for systems and workflows; Identifies opportunities to standardize and improve operational processes across the division; Supports continuous improvement of systems and coordination processes (10%)
(6) Stakeholder Coordination and Technical Support. Serves as a liaison between business units, leadership, and IT partners; Provides guidance on system capabilities, automation solutions, and best practices; Participates in cross-functional meetings to present findings, recommendations, and system updates; Ensures solutions align with agency IT governance and center of excellence standards (10%)

• May serve as a lead on automation or system implementation projects

Initial Selection Criteria:
1. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in information systems, computer science, business administration, information technology, public administration, or a related field.
2. Experience conducting systems analysis, business process analysis, or requirements gathering.
3. Experience developing, implementing, or supporting workflow automation, business applications, or technology solutions.
4. Experience documenting business processes, system requirements, or technical procedures.
5. Experience working with business stakeholders to identify and implement operational improvements.
6. Experience using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, or comparable enterprise technologies.
7. Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.
