Reports To: Director of Product and Engineering

We are seeking a creative, user-obsessed Solution Specialist to help drive the future of our construction technology platform. Sitting at the intersection of client discovery, workflow design, and product strategy, you will serve as the advocate for the end user on the ground. You will translate real-world jobsite and office pain points into intuitive, high-impact workflows through creative prototyping, deep customer engagement, and high-level product strategy—while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate build efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Discovery & Deep Dives: Conduct structured user interviews, on-site visits, and feedback sessions with clients to uncover root operational challenges and identify new product opportunities.
  • Prototyping & Mockups: Conceptualize, design, and iterate on clear visual mockups and functional prototypes for new features and updates to existing systems.
  • AI-Driven Efficiency: Actively explore and apply emerging AI capabilities to streamline workflows, optimize discovery, and speed up the prototyping and specification process.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Partner directly with the Director of Product & Engineering and dev teams to walk through user workflows and translate practical field needs into actionable feature ideas.
  • Product Vision & Scoping: Toggle seamlessly between high-level strategic product goals and granular user details to define high-value feature enhancements.
  • User Advocacy: Serve as the ultimate champion for the end user, ensuring every platform change simplifies day-to-day operations for construction teams.
  • Industry Solutions: Stay on top of other Contech organizations and trends
Requirements
  • Eligibility & Location: 100% Remote; must be US-based and eligible to work in the United States (Eastern Time Zone preferred).
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 1–2 weeks per month (or less) for customer site visits, team workshops, and industry events.
  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Exceptional ability to dissect complex operational bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and develop practical, creative solutions.
  • Core Mindset & Work Ethic: Highly self-driven, autonomous, and proactive with a strong work ethic and continuous bias toward action.
  • Industry Experience: Direct experience working in the construction industry with construction technology applications is strongly preferred.
  • Creative Prototyping: Demonstrated ability to translate complex user problems into intuitive visual mockups or functional workflow prototypes.
  • AI Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to push boundaries by leveraging AI tools to drive speed, efficiency, and fresh solutions.
  • Communication & Advocacy: Strong interpersonal and listening skills to draw out insights from clients, articulate ideas, and communicate user needs clearly to technical teams.
  • Big-Picture & Detail Vision: Ability to see how individual feature tweaks impact the broader platform ecosystem as well as the user's daily operations.
