Position Overview
The Planning Manager provides functional leadership for planning and scheduling across nuclear EPC projects. This role establishes standards, drives execution readiness, and supports predictable project delivery across both U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and commercial work.
The Planning Manager governs planning discipline across projects and partners closely with Area Managers and Project Managers to ensure consistency and performance, without direct ownership of individual project outcomes.

Location
This is an in office position, located in Lenexa, KS.
Qualifications
  • Lead planning activities, including project kickoffs, readiness reviews, and schedule governance.
  • Monitor schedule performance and communicate progress, risks, and forecasts to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Support execution readiness across safety, quality, staffing, procurement, and project controls.
  • Drive workforce planning and forecasting aligned with project objectives and critical path requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop planning and scheduling personnel.
  • Evaluate subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with overall project schedules.
  • Develop and present schedule performance metrics and reports.
  • Promote continuous improvement in planning tools, systems, and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with engineering to ensure construction-ready information is available to support timely package creation.
  • Train planners, field engineers, and construction leaders on IWP standards, workface planning practices, and package quality expectations.
  • Support turnover and commissioning readiness by ensuring package completion status, punch resolution inputs, and handover requirements are incorporated into workface planning.#LI-LH1

Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project controls, or related field.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale EPC project delivery.
  • Advanced knowledge of integrated EPC project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, and startup processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and driving performance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods of time to support the team and resolve issues.
