This is a highly collaborative role that partners with operations, HR, leadership, and insurance vendors to reduce risk, improve workplace safety, and support our employees.What You'll DoManage workers' compensation claims from start to finishCoordinate return-to-work and light duty programsServe as the primary contact for insurance carriers, brokers, TPAs and vendorsMonitor insurance programs and identify opportunities for cost savingsLead OSHA compliance efforts and maintain required reportingCoordinate facility safety inspections and recommend improvementsFacilitate safety committee meetings and employee safety trainingAnalyze claims trends and recommend strategies to reduce workplace injuriesSupport annual workers' compensation auditsAssist with cargo, warehouse, and client-facing insurance programsPartner with leadership to strengthen company-wide risk management practicesWhat We're Looking For5+ years of experience in workers' compensation, insurance coordination, risk management or a related fieldStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation lawsExperience managing insurance claims and vendor relationshipsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to analyze trends and develop practical solutionsComfortable collaborating with leaders across multiple departmentsBachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Occupational Safety or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Why Join Shearer Companies?You'll have the opportunity to influence safety, compliance, and risk strategy across multiple operating companies while working alongside leaders who value collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee wellbeing.
