The Woodstock Athletic Club at the Woodstock Inn & Resort is seeking an Assistant Tennis Professional to join the team.

The Woodstock Athletic Club at Woodstock Inn & Resort is the area’s premier facility for health and recreation. The club offers lessons from USPTA-certified instructors, court rentals, swimming, cardio and weight equipment, movement and cycling studios, outdoor trails, fitness and yoga classes, and an indoor pool 一 all under its 42,000-square-foot roof.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Tennis Professional will schedule and teach tennis lessons, both privately and as an instructor in clinics and special club events, as well as restring rackets. In addition, this individual will oversee retail merchandise for tennis, racket sports, and fitness, including clothing accessories, tennis rackets, pickleball paddles etc.

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: starting $20.00 per hour plus commission
    • The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation offered may be adjusted based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full time year round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group tennis lessons tailored to various skills, from beginners to advanced players.
  • Provide guidance on proper technique, rules of game, and safety procedures during lessons and activities.
  • Maintain equipment, ensure courts are safe and well-maintained, and manager scheduling of lessons and events.

Job Requirements:

  • Current tennis professional certification and current CPR certification required.
  • Experience with retail purchasing and merchandising, desirable.
  • Experience playing and teaching tennis at a professional level, essential.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
