Scope:

The Workday Project Manager at Houlihan Lokey will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday initiatives across multiple modules and regions. You will manage Workday implementations, enhancements, and optimizations from initiation through postproduction support consistently, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and quality standards.

You will collaborate closely with Human Capital Group (HCG), Payroll, Finance, Information Technology (IT), external vendors, and executive stakeholders to successfully deliver Workday solutions in a complex global environment. You are passionate about turning business needs into well-executed system solutions and thrive in managing cross-functional teams, risk, and change.

You are innately curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday programs and projects, including implementations, enhancements, regulatory changes, and integrations.
  • Own project governance including scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive effective stakeholder engagement and lead discussions to resolve complex issues, manage expectations, and drive consensus.
  • Partner with Workday functional leads (Human Capital Management, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Recruiting, etc.) to coordinate design, build, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, milestones, timelines, and resource forecasts.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, design workshops, status meetings, and executive readouts.
  • Monitor project risks and issues, drive mitigation strategies, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Manage relationships with implementation partners and Application Management Services providers to ensure delivery against agreed timelines and Service Level Agreements.
  • Coordinate testing activities including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-deployment stabilization.
  • Ensure adherence to IT, data security, and change management standards.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication to stakeholders and leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Workday project delivery methodologies, documentation, and governance practices.
  • This is a hybrid role that promotes a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration. You will be expected to work from one of our major U.S. or EMEA offices at least one day per week, with additional on-site presence as required for key project meetings or team initiatives.

$100,000-$130,000
