JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Part-Time Student Project Coordinator
The Part-Time Project Coordinator plays a key role in organizing and managing Campus Recreation's student creative team projects. Reporting to the student project lead and Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, this position supports marketing and communication initiatives by coordinating projects, tracking deliverables, and ensuring effective workflow management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination & Workflow Management
    • Oversee project timelines, ensuring deadlines, start dates, and file requirements are met for internal and external production.
    • Track marketing programs, deliverables, and objectives within a project management system.
    • Manage the ordering, printing, and distribution of marketing collateral.
    • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, analyzing key metrics to create comprehensive reports.
    • Coordinate social media scheduling and posting in collaboration with the social media team.
  • Team & Resource Coordination
    • Work closely with creative team members to assess project capacity and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Schedule and coordinate photo shoots, including shot lists and production details.
    • Assist with file management and organization to support content creation and social media efforts.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Social Media Manager to oversee team scheduling, workspace coordination, and verification of hours.
    • Conduct workshops for student staff on effectively using the project management system.
    • Maintain and optimize project boards with automation to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning & Process Improvement
    • Meet regularly with the Assistant Director to review project workflows and recommend improvements.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and support marketing strategies.
    • Track analytics and reporting across all team positions to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Professionalism
    • Maintain open and frequent communication with the supervisory team.
    • Actively participate in collaborative work and development.
    • Serve as a representative of Campus Recreation, promoting programs and services to a diverse audience.

Preferred Experience & Skills
Candidates with experience (academic or non-academic) in team management, project planning, communications, or business operations are highly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact positively with patrons and employees are essential. Attention to detail and above-average time management skills are required.
Work Environment & Requirements
  • Work will take place on the University Park campus.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a background check.
  • This role requires flexibility to accommodate a variable schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and University breaks
