Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior HRIS Engineer (Workday) to serve as a techno-functional subject matter expert supporting our HR and IT functions. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Workday as a scalable, automated, and data-driven system across the employee lifecycle.

You will play a critical role in enabling a high-growth organization by ensuring system integrity, operational efficiency, and visibility into workforce data through advanced analytics and integrations.

The Role

This role owns the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of Workday across Core HCM and related modules. You will lead the technical and functional execution of Workday initiatives, including system configuration, integrations, reporting, and release management.

You will act as the primary point of contact for Workday across HR, IT, and Finance, translating business requirements into scalable system solutions while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and operational continuity.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the design, delivery, and evolution of Workday architecture aligned with business goals

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Workday Core HCM, including configuration of business processes, security roles, and calculated fields

  • Architect and deliver advanced reporting solutions, including integration with centralized data warehouses

  • Utilize Workday People Analytics to generate insights and support executive decision-making

  • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and change management to drive user adoption

  • Manage integration strategy and monitor data flows between Workday and external systems such as Deel, Greenhouse, Britehire, and 15Five

  • Build and support integrations using APIs, Workday Studio, and EIBs

  • Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations and reporting solutions

  • Own Workday release management, including testing, feature evaluation, and deployment with minimal disruption

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday administration experience in a mid-sized or fast-growth organization

  • Proven experience supporting or participating in a Workday implementation

  • Expertise in Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and Time Tracking modules

  • Experience with Workday People Analytics, Prism Analytics, and building complex reports and dashboards

  • Experience extracting and integrating Workday data using ETL tools such as Airbyte or Fivetran into data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery

  • SQL proficiency and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript

  • Experience building and supporting integrations using REST or SOAP APIs, Workday Studio, and EIB

  • Strong understanding of Workday security architecture, including Integration System Users (ISUs)

  • Experience with identity and access management tools such as Okta

  • Understanding of employee lifecycle processes including Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance, and Payroll

The target total compensation ranges from $135,700 - $170,200, including a fixed annual salary of $118,000 - $148,000, an employee equity plan grant, bonus, plus comprehensive benefits.

Equity grants are issued in good faith, subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.
