HRIS Workday Team Lead

What you'll do:

As a HRIS Workday Team Lead, you'll be responsible for supporting the maintenance and ongoing development of the Workday Platform. This will include all aspects of HR including Compensation, Learning, Talent, Recruiting, Time, Absence, Payroll, and Benefits for our 3,000+ member team. You'll work closely with the HRIS Workday Manager and assist in directing the daily work of several team members. In this role you will also be involved in the hands-on development and configuration of Workday application. One of your key responsibilities is to partner with HR stakeholders and across the Bank to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities in our Workday tenant. Our HRIS Workday Team Lead will mentor and providing technical guidance to the HRIS team including peer review of all Workday configurations and enhancements before moving to production. Opportunities for professional development and engaging projects are provided. While Workday administration is the principle focus of this role, you'll have the opportunity to be learn and help support other platforms used by HR like HiredScore, Kainos and Servicenow.
  • Responsible for supporting the HRIS Workday Manager in maintaining optimal function of the Workday HRIS, which may include documentation, testing and development of Workday application.
  • Direct and oversee the work of your team to properly leverage resources, manage schedules, and ensure the proper prioritization and distribution of work. Provide performance and development feedback to the Director enabling him to effectively manage the entire team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices and use cases; partner with HR leadership and IT to develop strategies to optimize operations.
  • Take ownership of tickets assigned to HRIS team.
  • Collaborates with leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Provide advanced level technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS team members.
  • Apply configuration knowledge to solutions, taking into account all significant capabilities, features and functionality.
  • Lead the review, testing and implementation of bi-annual Workday releases; determine impact, participate in regression testing for new system features and communication of changes/benefits to end users.
  • Lead implementing and maintaining integrations, EIB processing management, and the bi annual Workday release management.
  • Document and develop business requirements and technical designs.
  • Lead AI HR Automation design and strategy.
  • Assist with data governance process.

What you'll need:

  • 6+ years of related experience in Workday HRIS Administration, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • Prior experience as a team lead directly involved with the coaching, training and development of team members.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Advanced experience with Workday or HRIS concepts, architecture, infrastructure, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices, specifically with audit and SOX compliance.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
  • One or more of the following Workday certifications preferred: HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning, Payroll, Benefits, or Security.
  • Advanced experience in HRIS strategy and roadmap planning.
  • Expertise in designing and building AI-powered automation preferred.
  • Experience leading Workday Extend solutions preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $159,745.00 - $197,331.66 for Chicago, IL. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
