Job description

This is entry level accounting and financial analysis position which requires an
understanding of GAAP and fundamentals of financial analysis and
reporting.
Duties:
  • Application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for use by upper management, Board of Directors, and membership.
  • Analyzes transactional information and collaborates with other departments to ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met.
  • Prepares journal entries at month end to ensure sales and use tax is correctly applied.
  • Review of monthly financial variances, including the identification, and communication of key drivers impacting financial performance.
  • Data gathering to support requests from external county auditors.
  • Involvement in the preparation of the NCUA Form 5300 Call Report including the maintenance of adequate supporting documentation. Includes staying abreast of NCUA regulatory reporting changes in order to maintain organizational compliance.
  • Prepare standardized monthly reports for both individual company and consolidated organizational financial performance.
  • Prepare and gather reports to meet various regulatory, examiner, and external audit requirements
  • Preparation of various financial reports to support branch network's visibility of various performance metrics.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have four-year degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field. Peak-time candidates must be in pursuit of four-year degree in above related fields.
  • CPA licensees and candidates will be given preference.
  • Candidates with experience using Workday Financials preferred.
  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong Excel skills also preferred.
  • Must be able to analyze large data sets and grasp complex financial methodologies.
  • Must be detail-oriented with an ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while requiring little supervision.
  • Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with co-workers, be cordial in all interactions with members and maintain professionalism.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently and adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by manager.
