Job Summary
The Multi-Line Claim Consultant is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of liability claims within a dedicated national hospitality account. This role manages claims from assignment through final resolution while ensuring compliance with Corporate Claim Standards, client-specific handling instructions, and applicable state regulations.
This position primarily focuses on premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage claims arising from hospitality-related operations across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will manage an inventory ranging from low to moderate complexity with select higher-complexity exposures based on experience and skill level.
Approximately 10-20% of the inventory may involve litigation exposure, making strong investigation, negotiation, communication, and claim management skills critical to success.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced liability adjuster who enjoys working with a dedicated national client, managing claims independently, and delivering exceptional service in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust liability claims from assignment through closure
  • Handle premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage claims
  • Conduct liability investigations and analyze coverage, damages, and exposure
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim development
  • Review medical records, invoices, legal documentation, repair estimates, and related claim materials
  • Authorize and process claim payments within authority levels
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and authorized representatives
  • Manage litigated files and coordinate with defense counsel when appropriate
  • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities
  • Prepare claim reports, reserve recommendations, excess notifications, and file summaries
  • Coordinate communications with clients, claimants, vendors, attorneys, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain timely diary management and accurate claim documentation
  • Participate in claim reviews, training sessions, mediations, hearings, and settlement conferences as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of liability claims handling experience
  • Active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License required
  • Experience managing claims from investigation through resolution
  • Experience handling:
    • Premises Liability Claims
    • Bodily Injury Claims
    • Property Damage Claims
  • Strong liability investigation and claim evaluation skills
  • Experience establishing reserves and negotiating settlements
  • Ability to independently manage a claim inventory of approximately 130 files
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities
  • Strong diary management, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Reliable attendance during established business hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality claims experience
  • Premises liability expertise within hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment venues, or guest-facing operations
  • Litigation management experience
  • Experience working directly with defense counsel
  • Multi-jurisdiction claims experience
  • Experience handling claims in one or more of the following jurisdictions:

  • Prior TPA experience
  • Additional active adjuster licenses

Compensation & Compliance
The posted salary reflects CCMSI's good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
