Job description

Coho Consulting Groupย is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to provide expert-level functional and systems analysis for complex IT applications and enterprise environments. This role is responsible for designing, integrating, and implementing scalable cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions while delivering strategic technical guidance to program leadership and customers. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in DoD cloud environments, modern infrastructure design, and emerging technologies such as AI integration. This is a hybrid-remote position with on-site support required at Ft. Meade, MD; Columbus, OH; or Ogden, UT.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Assess existing DoD cloud and traditional hosting environments to develop integrated architectures that optimize performance, interoperability, security, and cost efficiency
  • Lead the design and implementation of automated solutions supporting application migration and ongoing operations
  • Architect and support cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions across enterprise environments
  • Translate functional requirements into scalable, secure, cloud-enabled architectures
  • Conduct implementation planning, including risk analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to application migration, integration, and cloud infrastructure
  • Design and support AI-enabled solutions and infrastructure for federal environments
  • Develop clear, comprehensive technical and functional documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to deliver mission-aligned solutions
  • Design and develop workable solutions and processes to integrate traditional on-prem, hybrid cloud, government cloud, and mainframe network architectures.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Security Clearance:
    • Active Secret clearance (required)
  • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (preferred)
  • Required Experience and Skills:
    • Proven experience in systems analysis and solution design within DoD environments
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
    • Demonstrated success deploying and managing cloud-based solutions
    • Experience integrating enterprise networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5)
    • Strong background in configuring and implementing cloud networking services
    • Experience integrating AI-based solutions within federal or enterprise systems
  • Technical Expertise
    • Design and management of:
      • Virtual Networks (VNet)
      • Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments
      • Hybrid cloud architectures
    • Cloud migration strategies and execution
    • Infrastructure automation and orchestration
